1. Online orders

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and GRIT will take place on the despatch of the products ordered by you, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it. Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:

*The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
*Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
*The identification of a pricing or product description error
*You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions

If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by a member of our team. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.

2. Shipping of Merchandise

(1.) Delivery of Merchandise under Services is only available within the United Kingdom (2.) Merchandise ordered with intended delivery in the United Kingdom will be dispatched from the United Kingdom (3.) It is not always possible to dispatch multiple orders at once regardless of whether the delivery addresses may be identical.

3. Purchase Policy

Please be aware that once you have submitted your order you will be unable to change any information. Please make sure to enter all information correctly. We are unable to accept any cancellations.
Please also be aware that GRIT may not fulfil your order even once a purchase agreement has been enacted. In this case GRIT may cancel your order and a full refund of payment will be made. Please be aware of the terms and conditions above when placing an order.

4. Description of Products

Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information, including Product Descriptions, appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.

5. Pricing and payment

All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, AMEX

We do our best to ensure that all prices on our web site are up to date and current at all times. However despite our best efforts some may be incorrect. Please be assured however that as part of our order checking and dispatch processes we do verify our prices. In the event that the price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and still send you the product. In the event that the current price is higher than our stated price, we will contact you to discuss this. We do however reserve the right to withdraw the product from sale at the incorrect price and cancel your order.

6. Refusal of Transaction

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

To be eligible to purchase products on this Website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this Website under English law you must:

*Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information
*Be over 18 years of age
*Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable
*Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us
*By making an offer to buy a product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (including any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to, your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.

7. Damaged or faulty items

The customer is responsible for inspecting the goods upon delivery. Any damage or faults must be reported to the delivery team and annotated on any paperwork at the point of delivery. Once goods have been delivered and signed for the customer is liable for any subsequent damage or loss.

8. Collection of Works

If you wish to collect your order directly from the studio address, please contact us gritobjects@gmail.com or 07974897883 to arrange a suitable time. Please note collection days will be limited to reasonable work hours.

9. Health and Safety

If you wish to collect your order directly from the studio address please note that Crown Works Pottery takes a diligent approach to health and safety for the sake of all staff and users. Grit is not liable for any loss, stolen or damaged property on site.

10. Data Protection

Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will use the information to process your payment, to provide the product, and any products, events and news unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Any personal data you provide may be held on computer files.

Members of the GRIT Newsletter, sign up knowingly, opting into the emails serviced by Squarespace. All personal data is protected and stored for the sole purpose of sending GRIT newsletter with latest blog posts, updates and marketing. Personal data will never be shared with any third parties, ever.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be settled by the English courts.

12. Delivery

Onsite delivery of GRIT objects does not include fitting, drilling or hanging of items. It is the responsibility of the customer to check that the items being delivered can fit through doors and staircases before you place the order. Delivery to rooms higher than the 2nd floor may incur additional fees. We will not accept any responsibility for goods that are undeliverable due to insufficient access for any reason including your absence at the arranged time of your delivery as notified to us by our delivery partner) and you agree to pay any additional storage or delivery costs incurred due to these circumstances. Changes to delivery address can me made but may be incur additional charges and/or delay delivery.

13. Made to Order ceramics

Made to order ceramics may differ to our stock items “collections”. The process of made to order will involve consultation(s) with the client. GRIT will make every attempt to fulfil clients requests, but objects commissioned and made, may differ from consultation. The terms of delivery, cancellations, damaged or faulty items are as outlined above. 

14. Product Hire

To hire products for commercial purposes, such as photography shoots, please e-mail gritobjects@gmail.com or call us on 07974897883. We charge a day rate of 25% of the retail value for product hires, with a minimum charge of £50.

All products that are used for commercial purposes, must be returned in an unused, perfect and saleable condition with the original product packaging and instructions where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in a perfect saleable condition the full amount of the retail cost for the goods will be changed.
